Executing External Command on MSP Groups

Perform the steps given below to execute external command on MSP groups.

  1. Click Protection > MSP groups in the navigation pane. The MSP groups preview pane is displayed.
  2. Under the Name field, click on the link for MSP groups on which the command is to be issued. Protection provisioning preview pane is displayed.

  3. Click on the command to be issued. For more information, refer to the External Commands- MSP Groups table given below.
  4. On External Command - Confirm preview pane displayed, click Confirm request. The command is successfully issued on the MSP group.

Description

Release

Clears previously set command.

Lockout Protection

Prevents traffic from switching to protect path.

Forced Switch to Protect

Forces traffic to switch to the protect path.

Forced Switch to Working

Forces traffic to switch to the work path.

Manual Switch to Protect

Switches traffic to protect path only when it does not have signal fail or degrade condition existing on it.

Manual Switch to Working

Switches traffic to work path when it does not have signal fail or degrade condition existing on it. Manual Switch to Work is only applicable for non-revertive connections.
