After logging-in to the application, the APT Home page is displayed. Network planning is a complex and time consuming operation (RWA, network design for RWA, etc.). Some planning operations may take days. APT performs all these complex operations in the background by creating tasks (daemons). These tasks are visible in the Home page.

Home: To see number of active topologies, routing and wavelength assignment results, network designs, scheduled tasks, completed tasks; list of recently created topologies and recent tasks.
Topology:
All network topologies: To create or update and delete network topologies.
Configuration:
All network configuration: To create or update and delete network configurations.
Planning:
Routing and Wavelength Assignment: To view and to create RWA tasks.
Network Design: To create network design tasks; equivalent to running RWA and network design for RWA tasks together, one after the other.
Analysis:
Node Failure Analysis: To perform node failure analysis.
Link Failure Analysis: To perform link failure analysis.
All Service Analysis: To perform both link and node failure analysis and obtain paths for all services excluding failed link and node.
WSON: To perform WSON (Wavelength Switched Optical Networks) simulation.
Link Engineering: To perform manual link design.
Documentation: To access all the documents required for network planning.
