vrf-lite Commands

This section describes commands used to configure Virtual Router Forwarding (VRF) on the interface and to view VRF information.

NOTE: These commands are applicable only for TJ1400P-M3 switch.

Configure VRF

This section describes commands used to configure VRF.

vrf

This command is used to create a named virtual router forwarding (vrf) instance.

rd

The command creates VRF table by specifying route distinguisher. rd value must be in the form AS number and an arbitrary number (x:y) or an IP address and arbitrary number (A.B.C.D:y)

NOTE: To configure VRF, rd value must be provided.

ip route

The command is used to configure static route for the VRF.

Configure VRF on interface

The following commands are used to configure VRF on the interface:

vrf forwarding

The command is used to bind the named vrf to the interface. The interface must be L3 VLAN interface or pure L3 port.

NOTE: Before vrf forwarding make sure the interface is configured.
