Using the Filler Panels

Cover empty slots in the chassis with respective filler panels. Filler panels serve the following important functions:

They prevent exposure to voltages and currents inside the chassis.
They block electromagnetic interference (EMI) that might disrupt other equipment.
They direct the flow of air through the chassis.
They arrest the entry of dust into the chassis.

Caution Sign CAUTION: Do not operate the system unless all cards, power modules, and filler panels are in place.
