PSCM

Optical Power Splitter Combiner Module (PSCM) splits the signal into N (N>1) parts in one direction and combines N signals to produce one signal in other direction. Though it has many applications, it plays a major role in providing the client protection for the DWDM transmission in which electrical signals typically do not flow across cards.

Various types of PSCMs can be used with this product. In PSCM-1x2 form, it is primarily used as client protection and as PSCM-1x5, it is used to produce local add drop traffic for the ROADM nodes. As these are purely passive units, they are housed in external 19” sub racks.
