Executing External Command on Protection Pair

Perform the steps given below to execute external command on protection pair group.

1. Click Protection > Protection Pair in the navigation pane. The View ProtectionPair groups preview pane is displayed.
2. Under Name field, click on the ProtectionPair group link. The Protection Provisioning preview pane is displayed.

   

3. Click on the command desired to issue on the protection pair from the options namely:
   • None: No external or user command currently issued on the protection pair.
   • Switch to Work: Issued on the protect channel and the traffic is switched from protect to work channel.
   • Switch to Protect: Issued on the work channel and the traffic is switched from work to protect channel.
4. On the External Command - Confirm preview pane displayed, click Confirm request. Switch is successfully performed.

   The Current Status parameter on View ProtectionPair groups preview pane displays active channel on the protection pair where traffic is being currently carried after switching.
