Viewing Card Parameters

The cards can be accessed through either Node slot view or Inventory option in the navigation pane on the node WUI.

Perform the steps given below to view the card parameters.

  1. Click System > Node slot view in the navigation pane. The Node slot view preview pane is displayed.

    OR

    Click Inventory > Node Inventory in the navigation pane. The Node Inventory preview pane is displayed.

  2. On Node slot view preview pane, click on desired card or module to view its parameters.

    On Node Inventory preview pane, click on the Slot 'number' corresponding to the desired card or module to view its parameters.

Shelf

Displays the shelf number in which the node is present. The value is always 1 in this release.

Slot

Displays the slot number in which the card or module is present.

  • Present: Indicates that the card is present in the node.

Product Code

Displays the product code.

Serial Number

Displays the unique serial number of a specific module.

Software Version

Displays the version of the software installed in the node.

Temperature (degrees C)

Displays the temperature of the card.

Redundancy Status

Displays the redundancy status of the card.

  • Primary: Indicates that the primary module is currently working.
  • Secondary: Indicates that the secondary module is currently redundant.

MAC Address

Displays the MAC address of the card.

Use Early Ejector

Allows you to Enable or Disable the parameter.

  • Enable: Releasing the latch on ejector triggers the traffic flow on the card to stop before the ejector is pulled out and the card is removed from the backplane. Early ejector triggers card jack-out before the card is actually jacked-out.
  • Disable: Early ejector is disabled on the UI.

Line Cards

Card Port Mode

Displays the 'CardPortMode' in which card has been configured.

CEF-5 card

Service Switch Mode

Displays the service switch mode as 'Mesh mode' or 'Stand Alone mode' depending on the slot in which the card is jacked-in.

  • Cross Connect and Control card: HCPXCC04
  • Line Cards: HCPSLine01, HCPULine01, HCPSLine03, HCPSLine08, HCPSLine22
  • CE Fabric card: CEF-5 and CEL-3
  • CEL-3 card is also referred by the nomenclature ELAN07_GE_FE
  • Optical Active and Passive Cards/Units: Optical Fiber Amplifier Card, Optical Adapter Card, MDU8-D, MDU40E-D, MDU40O-D, DCM, FPU, ILU, OSCF, and PSCM
  • FTU (Fan Tray Unit): HCPFTU01 (2 variants)

For all cards, the recently generated alarms are displayed in the lower pane of the preview area of that card.

On Optical Fiber Amplifier Card preview pane, additional links namely Card Info, Amplifier Ports, and Monitoring Ports are also displayed. For more information on these links, refer to the topic Working with Optical Fiber Amplifier Card.

Optical Adapter Card preview pane displays the details of the 'SubSlot' cards present in that slot.
