View network design

This section describes results of Network Design. Following are the steps to view network design results.

• To view network design result click on the View button under actions column. Following are the tabs of network design from result page:

  

• Node Details: Once we click on Node Details tab; a table is displayed as shown in figure:

  

  • Node Name: Displays node name.
  • No of Lambdas Flowing through Node: Displays the number of wavelengths flowing through the node.
  • Node Utilization: Displays percentage of node utilization.
  • Report: Click on Download to obtain node report.

  All the tabs will display a page having maximum of 10 entries, if there are more than 10 entries, click on Next page button.

  To search any information use search button which is at top-right corner

• Link details: Once we click on Link Details tab; a table is displayed as shown in figure.

  

  • Source: Provides source node name, that is node from service is originating.
  • Destination: Provides destination node name, that is node where service should terminate.
  • Link Name: Displays link name.
  • No of Lambdas Flowing through Link: Displays the number of wavelengths flowing through the link.
  • Link Utilization: Displays percentage of link utilization.
• Service Details: Once we click on Service Details tab; a table is displayed as shown in figure.

  

  • Sl No: Provides serial number to the services.
  • Service Name: Displays the service name.
  • Source: Provides source node name, that is node from service is originating.
  • Destination: Provides destination node name, that is node where service should terminate.
  • Path Details: Displays path details for the service.
• Lambda Scheme: Once we click on Lambda Scheme tab; a table is displayed as shown in figure.

  

  • Service: Name Displays the service name.
  • Wavelength: Displays the channel id used by the service.
  • Frequency (THz): Displays frequency of the service in THz.
  • Wavelength: Displays wavelength details for the service in nanometer (nm).
• BoQ: Once we click on BoQ tab; a table is displayed as shown.

  

  • TPN Name: Displays the TPN name.
  • Description: Displays details about the TPN.
  • Count: Displays the count of TPN.

NOTE: BOQ may not be available in the Resultpage.

• BoM: Once we click on BoM tab; a table displays count of each TPN at each of the nodes.

  

  • TPN Name: Displays the TPN name.
• Connectivity: Once we click on Connectivity details tab; a table is displayed as shown in Figure:

  

  • Node: Displays Node name.
  • Chassis Required: Displays the number of chassis required.
  • Standalone Card: Displays the number of standalone cards required.
  • Bayface Diagram: Click on View button to view bayface diagram.

    - Displays number of racks required at each node.

    - FAN is FAN tray unit. It provides cooling to the chassis.

    - PSU is a power supply unit.

    - OSMC and OAM are controller and management cards.

    - Arrangement shown in below figure is a chassis.

    - At each slot of chassis, will insert a card which can be either controller card or line cards.

    - Fifth and sixth slots are reserved for controller cards.

    - Slots whichever are used will have TPN number followed by cards with an id.

    

  • Connectivity diagram: Click on View to view connectivity diagram. The below figure shows the sample connectivity diagram.

    

• Regen Sites: Once we click on Regen sites, the following table is displayed as shown in figure:

  

  • Node Name: Displays the node name.
  • List of Services Regenerated: Displays the regenerated services.
• Service Simulation: Once we click on Service Simulation details tab, table is displayed as shown in below figure:

  

  • Service Name: Displays the service name.
  • Source: Provides source node name, that is node from service is originating
  • Destination: Provides destination node name, that is node where service should terminate
  • Uplink Simulation: This column has maximum one button as listed below

  View: Click on View Button to view the result of corresponding service

  • Downlink Simulation: This column has maximum one button as listed below

    View: Click on View Button to view the result of corresponding service

    

  • To view each channel upstream and downstream simulation data, click on View button and simulation results are shown in figure. It shows Input Power, Output Power, Input OSNR, Output OSNR, Input Dispersion and Output Dispersion wavelength at each of the DWDM component in the service path. We can hide the Input Power parameter in the figure by clicking left mouse button on the Input Power which is shown at the top-right corner. We can hide all other legends by clicking on the name and similarly we can make re-visible again by clicking on it.
• Network Parameters & summary: Once we click on Network Parameter & summary details tab, table is displayed as shown is below figure with the following details
  • Login name: Displays the login name
  • Tender/Design Name: Displays the tender/design name
  • Max no of Wavelength in each fiber: Displays the max number of wavelength in each fiber
  • OSNR Margin (in dB): Displays the OSNR margin in dB
  • Loss Margin (in dB): Displays the loss margin in dB
  • Connector Loss(in dB): Displays the connector loss in dB
  • Splice Loss(in dB): Displays the splice loss in dB

    

• Reports: Below are the options to download different reports
  1. Click on Download button located at top right corner, to view report in excel file.
  2. Click on Connectivity Results located at top right corner; to download connectivity diagram in pdf format.
  3. Click on Service Results located at top right corner to view simulation result of nodes in pdf format.
• Share: Share button is used to share the network design result. Once the Share button at the top right corner is clicked, a form will appear. Following are the available parameters of a form
  • Email ID: Provide an email id
  • Message: Provide a message
  • Share via Email: If network design result has to be sent via email then Enable the check Box. Once this is Enabled output of network design will be attached to email.

    

  • Share via APT: If the user (i.e. mentioned email user) has to access network, configuration, RWA, network design then Enable the checkbox. Mentioned email user should be part of APT user.
