Viewing Performance Statistics of Path

Perform the steps given below to view the performance statistics of path.

  1. Click Performance in the navigation pane.
  2. Do one of the following:
  3. Click on Path link for the desired STM port.
  4. Click on desired AU link or All AUs link to view performance statistics of STM path.

    Figure below shows the AU level counters for Path (SDH mode).

    Current interval statistics- AU Path

The reset options available under All AUs link are:

The reset options available for individual AU are:

The current interval statistics of the Path is available for current time interval, previous 15 minutes, current day, and previous day.

Path performance counters in SDH mode

Parameter

Description

ES

Displays the errored second.

SES

Displays the severely errored second.

UAS

Displays the unavailable second.

SEP

Displays the severely errored period in the path.

EB

Displays the errored blocks.

BBE

Displays the background block errors.

PPJE

Displays the positive pointer justification events.

NPJE

Displays the negative pointer justification events.

ESR

Displays the errored seconds ratio.

SESR

Displays the severely errored seconds ratio.

BBER

Displays the background block error ratio.

SEPI

Displays the severely errored period intensity in the path.

Interval Valid

Displays the validity of the interval as 1 or 0.

'1' is displayed when none of the below mentioned operations occur at that interval on the port. '0' is displayed if any of the below mentioned operations occur at that interval on the port. The operations are:

  • Manual reset of performance counters
  • SFP jack-in/jack-out
  • Card jack-in/jack-out
  • Port Admin down
  • Reboot

ES-FE

Displays the errored seconds at far end.

SES-FE

Displays the severely errored seconds at far end.

BBE-FE

Displays the background blocked errors at far end.

UAS-FE

Displays the unavailable seconds at far end.

SEP-FE

Displays the severely errored period at far end in the path.

Far End Interval Valid

Displays the validity of the interval as 1 or 0 at far end.

'1' is displayed when none of the below mentioned operations occur at that interval on the port. '0' is displayed if any of the below mentioned operations occur at that interval on the port. The operations are:

  • Manual reset of performance counters
  • SFP jack-in/jack-out
  • Card jack-in/jack-out
  • Port Admin down
  • Reboot
