Synchronizing the Node

The Synchronization feature provides the timing and synchronization management functionality for the node. All the SDH nodes in a network are synchronized to the same highly accurate clock called the Primary Reference Clock (PRC).

The Synchronization menu allows you to access:

• Synchronization status
• View Nominated timing references
• Nominate timing reference
