Nominating Timing Reference

Perform the steps given below to nominate a timing reference.

Click Configuration > Synchronization > Nominate timing reference in the navigation pane. The Nominate timing references preview pane is displayed.
Select the values for the parameters. For more information, refer to Nominate timing references table given below.
Click Submit. 'Successfully Nominated Clock' message is displayed. The timing reference is nominated.

Nominate timing references

Parameter	Description	Default Value	Acceptable Value
Clock Reference	Allows you to nominate a clock source.	port	internal port bits
Clock Reference Port	Allows you to select the desired interface.	--	STM Ethernet(ETH)
Priority	Allows you to select an appropriate number to prioritize the clock source.	0	0 to 8

NOTE: A maximum of eight clocks can be nominated for a node.
