Card Overview

The following table lists all cards supported in TJ1600 system in this release, with a brief overview of features provided on each card. For a detailed information, refer to the individual card section in this document.

Cards/Units

Description

Power Filter Units

HCPPFU02

  • Provides a filtered input voltage of -40V to -57.6V DC to all the cards on the TJ1600 Type-11SR chassis.
  • Supports input source redundancy.

NOTE: For input source redundancy, populate both the PFU slots in the chassis.

HCPPFU04

  • Provides a filtered input voltage of -40V to -57V DC to all the cards on the TJ1600 Type-6SR chassis.
  • Supports input source redundancy.

NOTE: For input source redundancy, populate both the PFU slots in the chassis.

HCPPFU05

  • Provides a filtered input voltage of -40V to -57.6V DC to all the cards on the TJ1600 Type-2SR chassis.
  • Supports input source redundancy.

NOTE: For input source redundancy, populate both the PFU slots in the chassis.

Fan Tray Units

HCPFTU01

  • Used in TJ1600 Type-11SR chassis to cool the equipment.
  • Supports six fans.

HCPFTU02

  • Used in TJ1600 Type-11SR chassis to cool the equipment.
  • Supports four fans.

FTU

  • Used in TJ1600 Type-2SR chassis to cool the node equipment.
  • Supports two fans.

Operations, Administration and Maintenance (OAM) cards

HCPOAM01

  • Provides M1/F1, Ethernet Segment Identifier (ESI), Alm. In, Alm. Out, Craft, and five Management interfaces (MGN1, MGN2, MGN3, MGN4, and MGN5).
  • Provides 10/100Base-T LAN interface.

NOTE: MGN3, MGN4, and MGN5 are used for External Management Interface configuration through the WUI; MGN1 and MGN2 interfaces are not supported in this product release.

HCPOAM03

  • Provides BITS, Alm. In, Alm. Out and Craft interfaces.
  • Provides three 10/100BaseT NMS interface.

NOTE: BITS interface is not supported for this release.

OAM and Controller card

OAMC

  • Performs Optical Supervisory Channel (OSC) processing up to 100Mbps.
  • Provides BITS, ALARM IN, ALARM OUT and Craft interfaces.

Cross-connect cards

HCPXCC03

  • Supports cross-connect of 340G HO capacity.
  • Supports cross-connect card redundancy.

HCPXCC04

  • Supports cross-connect of either 640G HO/OTN or 900G OTN capacity.
  • Supports cross-connect card redundancy.

Optical Shelf Management Controller (OSMC) card

OSMC01

  • Performs Optical Supervisory Channel (OSC) processing up to 100Mbps, control path processing and timing functions.
  • The OSC ports are used for out-of-band optical management communication for the DWDM configuration of the node.

Tributary Cards

HCPSLine01

  • Overhead byte processing for DCC-R, DCC-M, and F1 channels.
  • Pointer processing, performance monitoring, and POH termination.
  • Supports 20G backhaul.
  • Supports 10GE ports.

HCPULine01

  • Provides STM-1/STM-4/STM-16 line interfaces in both transmit and receive directions.
  • Overhead byte processing for DCC-R, DCC-M and F1 channels.
  • Supports 1GE ports.

HCPSLine03

  • Optical interfaces are XFP based.
  • Supports a maximum of 40G SDH backhaul.
  • With HCPXCC04, all four ports are supported and can be configured in FEC mode.

HCPSLine08

  • Supports SFP and XFP based interfaces.
  • Supports a maximum of 40G SDH backhaul.

HCPSLine12

  • Supports Coherent DWDM CFP/CFP/QSFP+/SFP+ based interfaces.
  • Supports 100G Muxponder configurations.

HCPSLine20

  • Provides 32 SFP ports supporting various data rates.
  • Supports a maximum of 100G aggregate traffic.

HCPSLine22

  • Supports DWDM CFP and SFP+ based interfaces.
  • Supports a maximum of 100G OTN backhaul.
  • The 100G ports can either be Coherent CFP types or Non-coherent CFP on the client side.

HCPSLine24

  • Supports CFP and CFP4 based interface.
  • Supports 100G Transponder configurations.

HCPSLine25

  • Supports SFP+/QSFP+/CFP/CFP4 based interfaces.
  • Supports micro-SD.

HCPSLine28

  • Supports interfaces of 2x100G with CFP pluggable and 2x100G with QSFP28 pluggable.
  • Supports a maximum of 2x100G OTN backhaul.

Ethernet card

CEF-5

  • Supports a switching capacity of 80G and an uplink SDH backhaul of 20G capacity
  • Supports a non-license based mode 2x10G + 12x1GE (default mode) and license based operational modes as 6x10GE + 12x1GE or 8x10GE ports

Optical active cards

OFA

Used for optical amplification of signals.

 

ROADM

  • Dynamically adds or drops any wavelength up to 80 Channels from the same physical ports and hence provide operational benefit compared to the fixed OADMs. 2/4/8 degree versions are available.
  • Supports dynamic protection and restoration in the optical layer.

MDU-16CL-C-50G

  • 16-channel multiplexer and demultiplexer active optical card.
  • Adds or drops any wavelength from the respective add and drop ports and hence this acts as a colourless MDU.

OPM-C-4 and OPM-C-2

  • Measures optical power per channel.
  • Controls transmission performance.

HCPADP01 and HCPADP02

  • Accommodates both active cards and passive cards.
  • Provides power and electrical connectivity to various types of cards.
  • HCPADP01 card splits a slot into 2/3rd and 1/3rd slots, where 1/3rd slot supports FPU01 and 2/3rd slot supports MDU-8-D card, FPU01 card with FPUADP01 adapter card.
  • HCPADP02 card splits a slot into two half slots, where each half slot can support OPM, OADM1, OADM4 and VOA cards.

VOA

  • Provides eight ports supporting eight hot pluggable VOA SFP modules.
  • Supports C-band 50GHz DWDM 80 channels.
  • Supports BRIGHT and DARK types of attenuation.

OFA-C-S26-FG and OFA-C-S23-FG

  • Provides a high output power of up to 26/23dBm.
  • Enables longer reach spans for high loss networks.

FPU01

Protect against optical fiber line failures.

Optical passive cards

MDU-40E-C-100G and MDU-40O-C-100G

  • 100GHz channel spaced DWDM multiplexer and demultiplexer.
  • The MDU-40E-C-100G applies even channel spacing (192.00 to 195.90 THz) and the MDU-40O-C-100G uses odd channel spacing (192.05 to 195.95 THz).

MDU8-D

  • Add and drop 8 DWDM channels with 100GHz spacing.
  • One card supports multiplexing of eight wavelengths in the transmit direction and de-multiplexing of eight wavelengths in receive direction.

MDU-16-D

  • Add and Drop 16 DWDM channels with 100GHz spacing.
  • One card supports multiplexing of 16 wavelengths in the transmit direction and de-multiplexing of 16 wavelengths in receive direction.

PSCM

It splits the signal into N parts on one direction and combines N signals to produce one signal in other direction.

OADM4 and OADM1

OADM -4 and OADM-1 cards optically add and drop four and one channels respectively.
