Configuring External Management Interface

External Management Interface configuration is performed to add third party amplifiers to the node. MGN3, MGN4, and MGN5 ports on HCPOAM01 card are available exclusively for this purpose.

Perform the steps given below to configure external management interface.

  1. Click Configuration > DCN > External Management Interface in the navigation pane. The External Management Interface Configuration preview pane is displayed.

  2. Under Configure External Management Interface,
  3. Click Submit. A "Route added with DST IP: <IP address>" message is displayed where <IP address> is the IP address of the third party device entered.

Deleting External Management Interface

External Management Interface List displays the details of external management interfaces already configured on MGMT port, if any.

Perform the steps given below to delete an external management interface.

  1. Click Configuration > DCN > External Management Interface in the navigation pane. The External Management Interface Configuration preview pane is displayed.
  2. Under External Management Interface List, select the Delete check box against the desired management interface.
  3. Click Submit. A "route to ip addr: <IP address> deleted successfully." message is displayed where <IP address> is the IP address of the third party device.
