Provisioning Embedded Communication Channels

Perform the steps given below to provision ECC (Embedded Communication Channels).

  1. Click Configuration > DCN > Network interface in the navigation pane. The Network interface configuration preview pane is displayed.
  2. Click on Provision ECC link. The Provision ECC Page is displayed.

  3. Select or enter value for the parameters. For more information, refer to the Provision ECC Page parameters table given below.
  4. Click Submit. Edit Network interface provisioning preview pane is displayed.
  5. Select or enter value for the desired editable parameters. For more information, refer to Edit Network interface provisioning parameters table in the topic Editing Network interface provisioning.
  6. Click Submit. A confirmation message is displayed.
  7. Click Accept Valid Modifications. A 'Successfully Modified' message is displayed. The embedded communication channel is edited.

Provision ECC Page parameters

Allows you to select the port used for the ECC.

STM1/4/16/64-1-N-M where N is the slot number in which the card is placed and M is the port number.

ECC Byte Selection

Allows you to select the byte used for the embedded communication channel.

ECC Path

The AU-n over which the ECC is carried.

NOTE: ECC interface cannot be created on logical STM ports and TTM enabled ports.
