HCPADP01 and HCPADP02

The Optical Adaptor Card, HCPADP01 and HCPADP02 can accommodate both active cards and passive cards by providing smaller slot support mechanically. It also provides power and electrical connectivity to various types of cards. The divided slots have backplane to support passive cards. For passive cards, the optical traffic passing through it does not get affected even if there is power failure in the adaptor card.

Functional Description

The functional features of HCPADP01 and HCPADP02 card are as follows:

HCPADP01 splits a slot into 2/3^rd and 1/3^rd slots; where 1/3^rd supports FPU, 2/3^rd slot supports MDU8-D card.
HCPADP02 splits a slot into two half slots; where 1/2^nd slot supports OPM, OADM1, OADM4, ILU-C-50G and VOA cards.
There is no traffic interfaces on this card. The traffic interfaces are present on the cards mounted on the adaptor card.
