The MDU-16CL-C-50G is a 16-channel multiplexer and demultiplexer active optical card. In add direction, it uses 16x1 passive optical combiner and in drop direction, it uses a 1x16 WSS. Any wavelength can be added or dropped from the respective add and drop ports and hence this acts as a colorless MDU. It occupies 2 slots in this node. When this card is used in conjunction with the ROADM cards, a colorless and direction less architecture of the ROADM nodes can be realized. This card is supported in TJ1600 Type-11SR and TJ1600 Type-6SR chassis.
