Working with MS-SP Ring

Multiplexed Section-Switched Protection (MS-SP) ring is a shared protection supported on the STM-16/64 interfaces. MS-SPRing is a protection scheme in which the total capacity in a multiplex section is divided equally between working and protection traffic. Any section can have access to the protection channels when faced with the failure of a section or node in the ring.

NOTE: MS-SPRing feature is a licensed feature. If you do not see the MS-SPRing option under Configuration menu in navigation pane, contact your sales coordinator.
