HCPULine01

HCPULine01 card supports 20xSTM-1/4 or 8xSTM-16 interfaces. This card is supported in TJ1600 POTP (11 slot) chassis.

The mode(s) supported with HCPXCC03, HCPXCC04 include:

Reconfigurable: 20xSTM-1/4 or 8xSTM-16 or 16x1GE (excluding P5, P10, P15, P20)

Visual Indicator Details

The visual indicators on the HCPULine01 card include two LEDs, the Active and the Status.

Card Configuration

HCPULine01 card can be field configured by using different SFP plug-ins to operate as STM-1/STM-4/STM-16/1GE card providing 20 ports. The ports are divided into 4 groups of 5 SFPs each. Each port group is independently configurable and supports a backhaul capacity of 5G. Total capacity of the card is 20G.

When HCPULine01 is used with HCPXCC03 and HCPXCC04, the card can be configured in the following mode as below:

Reconfigurable mode: In this mode, port group can be configured as 20xSTM-1/4 or 8xSTM-16 or 16xGE.

NOTE 1: STM-16 line rate is supported on ports P1, P5, P6, P10, P11, P15, P16, and P20 only.

NOTE 2: 1GE line rate is supported on all ports except P5, P10, P15, and P20 on HCPULine01 card.

LASER Types

The LASER types supported in STM-1, STM-4 and STM-16 interfaces include:

STM-1: S-1.1, L-1.1 and L-1.2
STM-4: S-4.1, L-4.1 and L-4.2
STM-16: S-16.2, L-16.1 and L-16.2

NOTE: Some long haul SFPs will not measure receive power beyond (-8.5 dbm). Hence before connecting long haul lasers, check with the optical power meter.

Functional Description

HCPULine01 card processes the received STM-1/4/16 frame for all alarms and performance monitoring signals. HCPULine01 card supports the following functional features:

Laser On/Off control for safety requirements
Laser optical power and temperature monitoring
Overhead byte processing for DCC-R, DCC-M and F/F2/F2F3 channels
Pointer processing, performance monitoring and POH termination
Overhead bytes tunneling from different optical interfaces across the base chassis
SDH data path which has independent ADD and DROP capacity to support both unidirectional and bi-directional cross-connects live insertion

NOTE: Before upgrading the port rate, the user should perform ADMIN down on the port.
