Configuring HCPSLine01 Card

This section covers the configurations to be performed on HCPSLine01 card.

Viewing Card Details

Perform the steps given below to view the HCPSLine01 card details.

1. Click Inventory > Node inventory in the navigation pane. The Node Inventory preview pane is displayed. Click on the Slot 'number' corresponding to the HCPSLine01 Card Label.

   OR

   Click System > Node slot view in the navigation pane. The Node slot view preview pane is displayed. Click on HCPSLine01 card.

2. HCPSLine01 Aggregate Card preview pane is displayed as shown in the figure below.

   Ports link directs you to Ports on Card Shelf :1 Slot: <number> preview pane.

   Configure STM64/Ethernet mode link directs you to Port configuration - HCPSLine01-1-<slot number> preview pane and allows you to perform port configuration.

   

Ports Configuration

Ports on HCPSLine01 card can be configured to either STM-64 or Ethernet mode. Perform the steps given below to configure the HCPSLine01 card in the desired mode.

1. Click Inventory > Node inventory in the navigation pane. The Node Inventory preview pane is displayed. Click on the Slot 'number' corresponding to the HCPSLine01 Card Label.

   OR

   Click System > Node slot view in the navigation pane. The Node slot view preview pane is displayed. Click on HCPSLine01 card.

2. On HCPSLine01 Aggregate Card preview pane, click on Configure STM64/Ethernet mode link. The Port configuration - HCPSLine01-1-<slot number> preview pane is displayed.

   

3. Select the desired Port configuration value from the drop down menu. Options available are 2xSTM64, 1x10GIGE + 1xSTM64, 1xSTM64 + 1x10GIGE, 2x10GIGE, and None + None.
4. Click Submit. A confirmation message is displayed.
5. Click Accept Valid Modifications. A "Successfully Modified" message is displayed under the Warnings field.

   HCPSLine01 card is configured in the desired mode.

NOTE: HCPSLine01 card supports only Higher Order granularities VC3 and VC4 in Ethernet mode.
